ACTA English civil musketeer (Cole Freeman's work).

Hello all,

I would like show off a figure my mate Cole from the states sent for Christmas.
All I can say what a bloody great figure this is. Cole really knows his stuff, how the hell I managed to beat him in a duel is beyond me! If mine was up against this, it would have been a white wash.
I am working on the exchange figure as we speak so Cole keep on a eye on the "mail box" as you lot call it.
Thanks very much mate!

Zvezda Castle wall section 1/72 WIP.

Hello all,

This is a project I have had in the pipe line for a few years and I decide to get off my arse and tr it.I need a back ground for taking pictures of my medieval bods and being limited on space I can't have a whole castle, let alone a middle eastern/crusade's  one as well!
The problem is I should have gone a bit bigger on this one. The wooden building is a bit too big for this one but I like it (my first attempt) and I am not to sure what is going to end up being used has?
The braziers are a work in progress the first one is made from flattened solder and soldered (cheers Paul from work) and the other is made from plasti card, not sure which one to use in the guard tower.
I need any suggestion on how to improve this dio so please let me know how!

Caesar Ancient Lybian warriors 1/72.

Hello all,

Blogger is crap, crap, and crapper still!!!! I can post comments on some blogs but not others. Sorry Al , Mork and Capt Richard and others but I just can't leave any comments.
Back to the figures. I wanted a project over the Christmas period that was some thing different from the norm so I dipped into the impulse buy part of the stash. The Libyans looked like a challenge because I know nothing what so ever about them.
A quite look on the net and this is what I came up with. The feet are covered in glue and the set is not finished so please forgive me.

Revell Wild west cowboys 1/72.

Hello all,

Sorry for not commenting on everyone elses great work, but in my other job of policing the mean streets of Benno's forum as a mod, I have spent most of my time battling bloody spammers!!!!! I have had hardly any time to even paint let  alone blog!
So these are some of my older work that I am posting, something different but cracking poses. In fact I would have to say one of the best, most lively poses on the market.I have a soft spot for these figures, they were a turning point in my painting. The first time I used shading and washing with my new Vallejo paints.

Zvezda Soviet Naval infantry WWII 1/72.

Hello all,

Here is some Zvezda Soviet Naval infantry art of tactics set. I do not normally go for these set because they are a rip off. I mean four blokes for £2.99, you can get metal figures for that price or half a set of plastic!
The gun set are a good buy though.
I have not removed them from the base's yet  because I am set thinking of a dio for these lads. I still like the Pegasus set and would like to add to the group.
The stripes on the MG gunner are crap, they took about twelve attempts and I kept making them worse.

Italeri Roman cavalry 1/72.

Hello all,

Yes I am alive!!!!I did not overdose on turkey or Christmas pud, I have been busy looking my son and heir over the festive period in the day while "Her in doors" is at work, which means I have been far too pissed to paint in the evening to recover from my boy!
Anyway I had a Duel on Benno's Horseman duel, with the great Peter (from Peters cave,).A big thanks  to Peter for the duel and his bloke and nag was cracking, he can paint white which is not the easiest colour to achieve.

I don't normally paint horse's or to be honest Romans so it was a good chance to expand my knowledge a bit
