Zvezda WWII Russian recon scout 1/72.

Hello all,

Yet another duel has played out and lost. This time to the great Zoran in Croatia who's dio was bloody great and even got my vote. It was a close run thing and take my hat off to the winner
Zorans winner "clash in the east",
Back to mine, this was the normal base of sand and glue with some static grass and silfor tufts. It didn't look right to start with, the grass looked too dark. While still buggering about trying to save my latest airbrush I gave it a quick blast with a sand colour and I think I just about pulled it back.
The back ground picture was courtesy of the Internet and my apprentice Jake at work (Cheers for the printing).
The face was one of the best I had painted typically I then Had to hide it behind a pair of binos!

The whole dio from the side, the back ground was a good choice to blend in.

A little bit of mold line left on the map case AAHHHH!!!! Bane of my life!

The figure does look better than the pictures, but I was running out of time and it was too sunny for a change.

One thing I noticed about Zoran's figure was the wooden furniture was a hell of a lot better.

The bushes are from woodland scenic foliage and was an after thought that works quite well.

The naked version, no back ground or fancy angles.
Cheers Zoran for a great duel, a well deserved victory and I hope not are last duel!

Caesar WWII British infantry 1/72.

Hello all,

Not to let the momentum slip on the blogging front, here is a another quick one I knocked up a week or so ago. A very good set from (again) from Caesar apart from the extra plastic in the gaps between the weapons and body of the figures. A little slip in quality from them but still cracking figures non the less.
Vallejo is the paint of choice and the Panzer aces British tanker is the main colour. A good wash with burnt umber sets it off.

Quite chuffed with this one so I will leave it at that!
